1st Kimberley Girl Guides of Canada

The girl-driven approach is the "how" of the new Girls First program. The girl-driven approach means that girls are in the driver's seat, choosing what they want to get out of guiding. Informed by best practices in youth engagement, it empowers each girl to become everything she wants to be.

Branches include Sparks for ages 5-6, Embers for ages 7-8, Guides for ages 9-11, Pathfinders for ages 12-14, and Rangers for ages 15-17.

Community Connections Society of Southeast BC

Multiservice org helping all ages from prenatal to senior with housing, homelessness, child development, childcare, prenatal, food, legal issues, advocacy, education and support

Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society

Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society offers support services to individuals and their families who are dealing with death and dying. Going through the experience with someone who has the skills to support will ease the journey. Hospice volunteers and staff will walk this walk with you. Our sole purpose is to be there.

East Kootenay Addiction Services Society

The East Kootenay Addiction Services Society provides free counselling services to youth, adults, couples and families dealing with their own or someone else's substance use problem. In addition, they assist with referrals to approved residential treatment and detox facilities in BC, hold weekly Methadone and Suboxone Clinic, offer harm reduction supplies and education, facilitate school and community educational programs, and offer youth Teen empowerment and Mastery program (TEAM) and Rock Solid program.

Friends of Children

Friends of Children is a registered charity providing free and confidential service to Northern BC and East Kootenay families travelling to access medical treatments for their children. Our goal is to relieve emotional and financial strain by assisting with the fuel, accommodation and meal costs associated with these appointments, surgeries, and consultations. We may also be able to assist with therapies and specialized equipment related to a child's medical condition.

Healthy Kimberley/Kimberley Wellness Foundation

Programs include the design and installation of a neighbourhood playground, bike to work day, a physical literacy program, data gathering to identify key areas that will provide the most benefit for Kimberley, and a Food Recovery and Distribution program to help at-risk segments of Kimberley such as the Food Bank, and lunch programs for schools and seniors.

We serve to relieve hunger and increase food security, together with our community. We create a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where we strive to provide healthy food. We support those in need with nutrition education and relevant information. We utilize all our assets to operate as an effective and sustainable organization.

Kimberley Independent School Society

Operates an independent school that offers a curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students who prefer non-traditional or alternative educational approaches and include smaller class sizes, experiential learning opportunities, and a focus on specific educational philosophies.

KORE Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise Society

Offers several initiatives and services aimed at promoting and supporting the outdoor manufacturing sector including KORE Cluster, KORE Discovery, KORE Connection, KORE WorkForce, KORE Fab Labs, KORE Trailhead

Ktunaxa Kinbasket Child and Family Services

Ktunaxa Kinbasket Child & Family Services is a non-profit Delegated Aboriginal Agency governed by the Ktunaxa Nation Council Social Sector Board. Many supports and services are available, by professional or self-referral, to self-identifying Indigenous children, youth, and families living throughout the Ktunaxa Traditional Territory.

Scouts Canada - 1st Kimberley Scout Group

Scouts have a lot of fun discovering new things and experiences they wouldn't have elsewhere. Along the way, they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success.

StrongStart Kimberley

StrongStart centres are early learning programs designed to support the success of children when they enter kindergarten. StrongStart programs are for parents and caregivers of children under five years of age.

Summit Community Services Society

Summit Community Services Society is dedicated to promoting community well being by providing a continuum of quality, accessible, client-centered support and intervention services in a respectful manner. Some of the supports and services available include mental health, sexual assault, stopping the violence, and a men's group.

Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook

Working closely with the communities of Kimberley & Cranbrook, we aim to inspire positive relationships with the environment.
