City of Kimberley - Accessibility Advisory Committee & Library Board

  1. Kimberley Public Library Board — Now Accepting Applications for Board Members

In accordance with the Library Act, the City of Kimberley is inviting applications for one (1) position on the Kimberley Public Library Board.

This is a meaningful opportunity to play an active role in shaping the future of library services in our community. The Kimberley Public Library Board provides strategic direction and governance to ensure the library remains a vibrant, inclusive, and responsive hub for learning, connection, and culture.

We are seeking community-minded individuals who are passionate about literacy, lifelong learning, and public service. Whether you bring experience in governance, finance, education,  fundraising, community development, or simply a strong commitment to your community, we encourage you to apply.

You may apply yourself or encourage someone you believe would be a strong addition to the Board.

Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be a resident or elector of the City of Kimberley. Members of Kimberley City Council, employees of the City of Kimberley, and employees of the Kimberley Public Library are not eligible.

    2. Accessibility Advisory Committee — Now Accepting Applications for Committee Members

In accordance with the Accessible BC Act, the City of Kimberley is inviting applications for one (1) position on the Accessibility Advisory Committee.

You can help make Kimberley more accessible and inclusive. Committee members bring community perspective and practical recommendations to support persons with disabilities.

The Committee advises Council on how to improve accessibility across City policies, programs, services, built environments, infrastructure, and outdoor spaces. Working with City staff, the Committee helps identify and reduce social, physical, and sensory barriers so people can fully participate in community life.

You may apply yourself or encourage someone you believe would be a strong addition to the Committee.

The Kimberley Trails Society is a passionate group, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the stunning trails of Kimberley, ensuring they remain accessible and sustainable for generations to come. Whether you're a hiker, a runner, a mountain biker, or simply someone who appreciates the great outdoors, joining us means becoming part of a community committed to conservation and outdoor enjoyment. Better at Home Program Seeking Multiple Volunteers

Better at Home programs support low or modest-income seniors with simple, day-to-day tasks that allow them to live independently and remain connected to their communities. Here's a list of volunteer opportunities in Kimberley:

Kimberley Nature Park Society Seeking Board Members and Volunteers

Are you passionate about nature, conservation, and the future of Kimberley’s outdoor spaces? The Kimberley Nature Park Society is seeking engaged community members to join our Board of Directors and help guide the stewardship of the largest municipal park in British Columbia.

As a board member, you’ll help shape strategic direction, support conservation and education initiatives, and contribute to the long-term protection of wildlife habitat and trails. Prior board experience is not required—just a willingness to contribute your skills, perspective, and enthusiasm. We meet monthly, with flexible participation options.

Have some time but don’t want to join the board? Volunteering for specific initiatives is another great option. We have many different projects that can use an extra set of hands.
