Notice of Public Hearing
The City of Kimberley is holding an electronic public hearing of the following proposed bylaw amendments on Monday, June 9th, 2025 at 7:00 pm:
Bylaw No. 2785, Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2600, Amendment No. 7, 2025
Bylaw No. 2786, City of Kimberley Zoning Bylaw No. 1850, Amendment No. 180, 2025
These amendments would facilitate a proposed residential development on a portion of 200 St Mary Lake Road.
To support this change, the following amendments are put forward:
Bylaw No. 2785 would amend the future land use designation in the Official Community Plan from “Parks, Recreation, and Open Space” to “Residential”.
Bylaw No. 2786 would amend the zoning from Community Recreation (P-3) to Residential Limited (RL).
Bylaw No. 2785 and Bylaw No. 2786 may be viewed at City Hall on weekdays (excluding statutory holidays) between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:45 pm, or by following the links below:

You may participate in the public hearing by:
submitting comments in writing to City Hall (drop-off in the mail slot, email planning@kimberley.ca or fax 250-427-5252) by 2 pm on the day of the public hearing, or
sharing your comments via telephone during the hearing by calling 1-800-741-7180. Please call by 6:50pm to register into meeting number (access code) 2774 555 9160 then enter the “#” symbol when asked for attendee number. You will be able to hear the meeting but you will be on hold and muted until it is your turn to speak.
All submissions will form part of the public record. Council is not able to receive further information or submissions after the conclusion of the public hearing.
