City of Kimberley Appoints Krista Waite as New Chief Financial Officer
The City of Kimberley is delighted to announce the appointment of Krista Waite as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). A long-time employee and dedicated member of the community, Krista brings a wealth of experience and deep-rooted commitment to her new role.
Waite was born and raised in Kimberley and has been with the City since November 2005. Balancing work and studies, she completed the Certified General Accountants (CGA) program with Laurentian University, earning an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and CGA designation in December 2007. The CGA designation has since been amalgamated with the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation.
Krista's career progression within the City of Kimberley is a testament to her dedication and expertise. She began as a Finance Assistant, was promoted to Financial Accountant, and on December 1, 2014, became the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Her consistent performance and leadership have now led to her appointment as the CFO.
"I am pleased to accept my new position as Chief Financial Officer. After eighteen years with the City of Kimberley, I look forward to contributing further to the community's success," Krista said.
The City of Kimberley is confident that Waite's extensive experience and commitment to Kimberley will greatly benefit the municipality as she steps into this pivotal role.
