City Launches Public Engagement Platform – Engage Kimberley
The City of Kimberley is excited to launch a new online engagement platform, Engage Kimberley. The new tool will give Kimberley residents the opportunity to have their say on local projects and initiatives and will help the City to build an online community where productive and transparent conversations can happen.
At www.EngageKimberley.ca, the City will be able to better facilitate public engagement through more robust tools and a modern, user-friendly design. The new platform will be a landing site to regularly feature projects important to our community. Registered users can follow projects to receive email updates. They will also be able to participate in many potential engagement tools including asking questions, participating in quick polls and surveys, sharing ideas and stories, and participating in online forums.
Current featured project includes Why Engage Kimberley?, Kimberley’s new Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Curbside Organics Waste Collection Program and Resort Development Strategy. Residents are encouraged to view project FAQs, pertinent documents, timelines and images as well as engage with City Hall regarding these projects. Pages will be updated regularly as projects progress.
“We are very excited to launch Engage Kimberley,” says Pamela Walsh, Manager of Community Development and Communications. “This program will allow us to talk to residents in a meaningful way. Insight from our community will help us build projects while addressing community concerns and will ultimately drive better decisions.”
