Jim Ogilvie Way Construction Update

Attention, residents of Kimberley! We would like to inform you that the reconstruction of Jim Ogilvie Way, stretching from Highway 95A to Rails to Trails crossing in Marysville, is currently in progress. The first phase involves the removal of the existing asphalt. This important project aims to replace aging underground infrastructure and enhance the quality of the road surface for improved driving conditions.

During the construction period, there will be disruptions to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Jim Ogilvie Way will be closed to through traffic for the majority of the project. We kindly ask that residents follow all construction signage and directions provided by personnel on-site. Please be aware that traffic patterns and closure areas will be subject to change as the construction progresses.

Here are a few additional details to note:

  • Full road closures are planned along the corridor.
  • Access to properties will be maintained
  • Access to the Transfer Station is available via the Rotary Drive entrance to Jim Ogilvie Way.
  • Limited parking will be available at the Marysville Arena.
  • Purcell Park will remain open for public use.
  • The paved multi-use path, running from the Marysville Arena to 313th Drive, is currently open but is subject to change as construction progresses.
  • Construction is planned to be completed in the fall.

Please plan your travels accordingly and explore alternate routes whenever possible during construction. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience throughout this process. Thank you for your cooperation.
